| The farmhouse Latini is locaded on a hill, 1 Km from Montespertoli. The varied landscape consists of a morphologically uniform hill range with olive trees, vineyards cultivation and woods. The area sits from 190 to 300 m. above sea level. This landscape has different colours for any different season: from the grenery in Spring to the hot red and yellow in Autumn. This area includes a wine cultivated territory af about 42 ha and an olive trees cultivated territory of about 20 ha. The production of the Chianti and Chianti Montespertoli wines is the most important object of the producers. In the wine cellars, the heart of the farmhouse, we produce red and white wines. A little part of white grapes, the most sweet and pink, has to be dried to produce the famous Vin Santo after 4 years fermentation in oak casks. A lot of confetionery specialities can be accompanied by the vin santo because of its wanderful amber colour, its intense and ethereal perfume and its velvety and sweet flavour. After the vintage time there is olive harvest time to produce an hight quality olive oil. |
